CATCH UP! |
The band was
formed at the end of the 90s in Petrograd by a drummer/singer Guilyermo Lopez,
and at first was called FROM A TO Z. In hard times for the country they did not
dream about rockabilly - the stages were shaken by heavy riffs of AC/DC
covers. |

Despite the growing popularity, there were difficulties with bass players: Guilyermo set high standards to rhythm section, and the musicians changed frequently. A guitarist Serge Fogt was a teady member, but the rhythm guitarist Phil Koozmin was soon invited now known to many admirers of KETCHUP, as sometimes name band the ignoramuses. From then on began the rockabillyzation of the band and transformation it into the CATCHUP. Now there are two singers in a team - Guilyermo and Phil. Guest double bass players did not wish to play professionally, and Guilyermo found Ivan with the 12-year experience of playing bass guitar (punk, psychodelia, thrash, blues, hard and artrock). Soon Serge left the band, and Phil switched to a lead guitar. There was a question of "purchasing" of horn section. One month two saxophonists came: alto Serge and tenor Val. And the gang had begun to sound! The spirit stems from pressure, expressiveness, energy and passion which is given out to public by this band. Recently guys have recorded the best numbers of their program and plan to release a disk. CATCH UP! in the web http://catchup.chat.ru |
